5th Grade Musical: "Off Their Rockers"

When: Tuesday, June 13, 2017

Time: 1:50 p.m.

Where: In the Reddington Hall gymnasium

Our 5th Grade Classes are working together to put on a musical in June.  This year’s musical reflects their personality and zip, as they represent the fiesty senior citizens of St. Louis Senior Center.  Every member of the 5th grade will participate in some way in this endeavor!

Their production will be a “one-time-only” seating on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 1:50 p.m.  Save the date for this not-to-be-missed event!

Costumes are something not to be left to the last minute!

Senior Center Directors should look professional.  Our white uniform shirt with blue pants will be the starting point, and I will make them name badges, etc.  Other touches can be added as far as hairstyles, fake glasses, and a great character name.
Senior citizens’ costumes should vary widely.  Some ideas include fun pairings of colors and prints, cardigans, sweater vests, suspenders, bowties, hairstyles, kerchiefs, etc.   These can be as individualized as you are.  Not all seniors will use canes, walkers, wheelchairs, as in the broader population, not all seniors do.  Please think of a fun name for your character.

Scripts are necessary. Children will each have a script for use at school, but might like to/need to practice at home as well. Please click to get a copy of the script.

Props are important. We would like to use what we have whenever possible. If you are in possession of something looking senior center-ish like canes, walkers, wheelchairs, crochet or knit throws, etc. please let Mrs. Gowman or Mrs. Wilmot know.

Please contact Mrs. Gowman at liz.gowman@dor.org if there is a question you need answered.
